Executive Director

The Middle GA Tennis Center is looking to fill the position of Executive Director at our tennis center in Perry, GA.  Responsibilities include managing the day to day affairs and operations of the tennis center, managing clubhouse operations, increasing membership and revenue levels, managing youth and adult programs, conducting private lessons and group drills, and other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.  As the tennis center grows this person would be responsible for hiring additional tennis pros and managing their efforts.  This position reports to the Board of Directors and the successful candidate will attend the monthly board meeting and present an executive summary report at each monthly meeting.  The role of Executive Director is a client-facing role representing the ideals and family values of the Perry Tennis Association.

 

The ideal candidate would be a certified tennis pro (USPTA or PTR) looking to expand their horizons to include an operations management role, while still maintaining their skills on the courts.  Other required skills include being organized, professional, flexible, adaptable, and creative.  Experience in researching and writing grants will be helpful, and working well with clients of all ages is a must.  Some weekday afternoon/evening hours are required, as well as being available on weekends.  Additionally, the successful candidate will need to attain SafeSport certification before their start date as well as other possible training modules/certs as determined by the Board of Directors.
