Lead Instructor:  Jennifer Hornsby

Coach Hornsby is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) since 2009.  From 2008 to 2013, she successfully coached the USTA Junior Team Tennis program with the New Haven Youth Tennis and Education 14U Intermediate, 14U advanced, and 18U Intermediate teams to multiple state and sectional championships.  She coached Girls Varsity Tennis team at Platt High School in Meriden, CT from 2010-2013.  Coach Hornsby is the 2013 USTA New England Edwin Goodman Family of The Year Award winner, 2015 USTA Southern Crescent Family of The Year winner and the 2015 USTA Georgia Richard C. Botsch Educational Merit Award winner.  From 2015-2018, in collaboration with the Newnan Police Department, Coweta Parks and Recreation and Southern Crescent Tennis Association she established and directed the community outreach tennis program “Serving4Success” in Newnan, GA which provided critical local community leadership, provided free weekly tennis instruction to include tournament play from certified coaches and provided life skills to underserved children in low-income Coweta County families. In addition, Coach Hornsby was the Varsity Girls Tennis Team coach at East Coweta High School from 2014-2018.  Under her leadership, the team twice reached the Sweet Sixteen, was the Regional runner-up two times and won Regional Championships in both the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons. Finally, multiple players she has coach as Junior Team players have reached the top ranking of #5, top #100 in USTA Georgia, USTA Southern Section in 10/12 under and some have gone on to play at the D1/ D3 NCAA levels. Coach Hornsby enjoys spreading the joy of the game of tennis not only on the court, but also translating those on-court skills with preparing our youth (no matter their race, gender or social-economic class) for the challenges of life with a continued focus on self-improvement.
